proj-frontiers - Manage Github Organizations associated with courses

[proj-frontiers] is tool to manage github organizations associated with courses.

[proj-frontiers] allows instructors to:

  • Associate a github organization with a course
  • Upload a roster of enrolled students
  • Upload a roster of course staff
  • Optionally, associate a course with a Canvas course

Subsequently, enrolled students and authorized staff can:

  • Self-enroll in the Github organization

Instructors and course staff can then:

  • Associate github accounts with student identity
  • Manage student teams (including two-way sync with both Github and Canvas)
  • Create repos for individual and team assignments on Github with various levels of access, and have permissions be set up automatically

Additional Features are planned to support the NSF Frontiers project which focuses on assessment of Github Artifacs, including commits, issues, pull requests, and code reviews.
